The Sweetwater Soap Company has embarked on a journey, to create a premium line of natural skincare, with as little synthetic intrusion as possible. Through the use of fresh natural ingredients and a sincere commitment to creating products that are as good for planet, as they are for you, we hope to help the world discover the feeling of being more than clean. Naturally clean.

Sweetwater was started by two friends with an idea and very few means, not by a huge company blessed with deep pockets. It represents entrepreneurship and the victory of the little guy. It's generous, as only a small artisan without a large accounting system to control cost can be: There are lots of real lavender buds in the Lavender & Shea Soap, and large amounts of lemongrass in our Lemongrass Shea Lotion Bar.

Rage against the machines
The human touch is an integral part of producing high quality soap. And just like our forefathers before us, Sweetwater Soaps and lotion bars are made the old fashioned way–by people–not machines. Sweetwater Soap is handmade in small batches using a 200-year old process. Fresh natural ingredients are blended in small batches and poured into wooden block molds. When ready, the soap is hand-cut and then aged for nearly a month. This process-while time consuming-results in an outstanding natural bar of soap that's rich in natural glycerin.

Sweetwater doesn't make the cheapest soap out there, they're plenty companies with that as their primary mission. We do however, stuff as many fresh natural ingredients as we can into our soaps.

From the tree to your tub
Sweetwater brings soap from the source to your tub with as little as possible in between. Our network of growers throughout the world gives Sweetwater a competitive advantage in the natural ingredients, we use in our soaps. These relationships enable us to better follow the ingredients, from the trees to your tub, ensuring your soap is as fresh, and natural as possible.

Good things do come in small packages
To cut down on unnecessary waste, Sweetwater uses very minimal packaging. And the packaging we do use is often created from recycled materials. Additionally, by being committed to delivering our products in solid form we eliminate the need for plastic bottles. This not only cuts down on harmful synthetic waste, it also cuts down on synthetic preservatives needed, which can be harmful to your skin, and the planet.
